Hey there! 👋🏽 If you’re new here, I am a 16 y/o innovator who's stoked about the future of Blockchain, web3, and crypto, and currently building decentalized applications on the ethereum blockchain. I'm passionate about digital art, video editing and I love rocking out on the guitar in my free time 🎸
2021 has come to an end, and truthfully, I find it scary to reflect on a timespan as large as a year.
When you or I look back on the year, we reflect on unique experiences.
However, the one thing we’ve all experienced is growth.
This year, it was my goal to be intentional about my growth— expose myself to new experiences to fuel my development. Along the way, I’ve been able to feel my mindset shift and been lucky enough to have met some truly genuine people who have grown with me.
That being said, here’s some of my highlights for the month of December:
How Blockchain put food on the table of 100,000 people:
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how the world food program leveraged the blockchain to aid Syrian refugees in food assistance. Why? Because Blockchain’s potential to make an impact is not talked about enough. Blockchain isn’t just crypto, the technology is extremely versatile—and has use cases like humanitarian assistance that make a positive impact on people’s lives.

👷♀️ Building Projects:
During the break, I have been able to spend a bunch of time delving deep into honing my skills in code. I recently have been learning solidity, the language used on the Ethereum network to create smart contracts. Learning something new and unfamiliar required a lot of problem-solving, and persistence.
🔑 Here’s what I’ve learned:
Nothing good comes out of chasing the end result alone. It can be great for motivation, but to truly understand a skill (as cliche as it sounds,) the journey matters a lot more. + Take a second to enjoy the process of dissecting the puzzle of a new skill.
Learning by doing is the best way to learn. Don’t be afraid of leaping into a project, it’s okay to make mistakes—making projects teaches you what’s important + There are some things you can’t learn from a textbook.
Consistency builds momentum. I like this quote": “Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.”
Learning about the future of wealth simple, NFTs, and more:
Had the amazing opportunity to attend this online meetup to listen and discuss Defi with speakers Kay Ginsburg, Danish Ajmeri, and Charles Kremer!
Discussed the endless opportunities for NFT’s, (nonfungible tokens) and the growth of the space. Kay Ginsburg is the co-founder of PERC studio, the bridge between large brands and NFT’s.
Shoutout to Kay for an amazing conversation afterward about her experiences throughout university, and getting into the Blockchain space. Especially had an amazing conversation about letting go of hesitation, and taking action on change, no matter how scary.
If your like me and love reflection, but sometimes find it hard to start— here’s some questions from Tim Ferriss, Shane Parrish, James Clear, Ramit Sethi, and others help you review, reflect on and re-orient your life.
Thank you for sticking with my journey so far
I am extremely grateful for the people who have contributed to my growth throughout this year. While there were some amazing experiences and achievements this year, I also think it’s important to celebrate the tough experiences. Going through periods of pressure, uncertainty, and stress is something we’ve all been through this year, but I’m grateful to slowly be learning the importance of seeing the lows as a positive thing, because I don’t think I would have grown nearly as much without them.
Wishing you all a year filled with happiness, health, and success!
